The Only Way Is Essex stars have got themselves a pay rise, with the cast now getting £80 a day to appear on the show, up from £50.
But the rise comes at a cost, with bosses now taking a cut of all their fees for four months after the show ends.
The fifth series of the show kicked off with over a million viewers on Sunday night, and producers are keen to stop a mass exodus as stars quit for shows like Celebrity Big Brother and I'm A Celebrity.
In the past year, the reality series has lost Amy Childs, Mark Wright, Harry Derbridge, Maria Fowler and Kirk Norcross.
The strict terms of the new contract haven't gone down well with the entire cast however.
“A lot of the stars were furious and threatened a walkout which would have sent the show into chaos. Many went to seek legal advice," an insider told The Sun.
The Only Way Is Essex continues tonight at 10PM on ITV2.
