Former Big Brother winner Brian Belo is seeking an injunction to stop ITV2 airing any future series of The Only Way Is Essex.
The reality star is currently suing both ITV and TOWIE makers Lime Pictures, claiming they stole his idea, seeking £4 million in damages.
Brian originally claimed that the idea for the show was his own last year, even posting a clip from a "pilot episode" called Totally Essex which stared himself.
According to The Sun, Brian is suing both ITV and Lime Pictures for breaches of copyright and confidence, claiming that they had originally offered him £2,500 for the format.
He is also requesting an injunction which would prevent the show from airing any more episodes, ahead of its planned return to ITV2 next month.
ITV and Lime Pictures said they would defend the claims, commenting in a statement: "The Only Way Is Essex is an original concept created and developed by an award-winning team at Lime Pictures.
"Brian Belo's claim against Lime and ITV is totally without foundation and will be vigorously defended.
"The creative team at Lime Pictures is very proud of TOWIE, and the notion that it was not entirely their own work is a serious allegation which is completely refuted."
