Gemma Collins ‘won’t appear on next series of TOWIE’

Gemma Collins will reportedly not appear in the upcoming series of The Only Way Is Essex.

Although featuring in a new trailer for the upcoming 25th series, Gemma is said to have pulled out of filming.

According to The Sun newspaper, Gemma’s currently hectic schedule means it’s not possible for her to take part.

A source explained: “Gemma is so busy with work at the moment, she just hasn’t had time to give Towie her full attention, so she’s made the difficult decision to pull out.

“She’s just filmed her own show, which saw her go to America, and is working on various other lucrative projects including her music career with Naughty Boy.”

Ahead of TOWIE’s return to TV, Gemma is currently appearing in her own show on ITVBe, Diva Forever.

Gemma said as she launched the series: “I would like to be as big as Lady Gaga, that’s the next ambition. But my first ambition is to continue to be happy first and foremost.”

Ahead of the first episode of her new show, Gemma said she didn’t mind being branded a “diva”.

“Being a diva is a positive thing. The meaning in Italian is Goddess,” she explained. “I don’t regret anything I have ever done on TV. It got me to where I am today. I have always been REAL.”

She added: “I’m happy for the viewers to see warts and all, there are no secrets with me, that’s what makes me the number one reality TV queen.”

Gemma Collins: Diva Forever airs Wednesday nights on ITVbe at 9PM.

Meanwhile, it’s been claimed that Gemma has signed a record deal with Universal music to launch a music career.

No wonder she has no time for TOWIE!

The new series of The Only Way Is Essex will air on ITVBe in the autumn.
