Jodie Marsh to replace Amy Childs on The Only Way Is Essex?

The Only Way Is Essex

Former glamour model Jodie Marsh is set to make a surprise appearance on The Only Way Is Essex when it returns later this year. The 32-year-old, who was born in Brentwood, is reportedly set to replace Amy Childs on the third series of the hit ITV2 reality show from September.

Amy confirmed this week she had left the series in order to take up deals on the likes of Celebrity Big Brother on Channel 5.

According to the Daily Star, bosses hope that Jodie - and her relationship with current TOWIE star Kirk Norcross - will help spice up the new series.

An insider told the tabloid: "Since Kirk split up with Lauren Pope he has been hanging out with Jodie. She would definitely spice it up a bit."

But Jodie may not be the only new face on the show when it hits screens again later this year, with bosses want to bring fresh blood onto the programme. It means TOWIE newbies - including the likes of Maria Fowler, Lauren Pope, Joey Essex, Chloe Sims, Gemma Collins and Kirk's dad Mick Norcross - could all go.

Original star Sam Faiers recently said: "It's really sad but they have said they won't be signing up all the people who were in the second series again."
