The Only Way Is Essex babe Amy Childs has reportedly quit the ITV2 reality show ahead of the third series after bosses banned her from cashing in on her fame. According in The Sun, telly execs vetoed her plans to boost her telly career - which included a deal for Celebrity Big Brother.
The newspaper claims that ITV chiefs don't want stars of TOWIE seen on other reality shows to make sure viewers don't stop seeing them as "real people".
However when Amy Childs was offered around £200,000 to take part in next month's Celebrity Big Brother on Channel 5, the fireworks started!
An insider told the tabloid: "The Only Way Is Essex is a community show. It stars TOWIE people, not Big Brother wannabes - it's new and fresh. It's bizarre that Amy wants to do a show that was axed last year for being out of date.
"It's sad she's leaving - viewers liked her. But no one's bigger than the show."
A pal of Amy's added: "You can imagine how her life would improve with that cash. There are no hard feelings."
Amy is now set to enter the Big Brother house in mid-August when the previously axed reality series makes a triumphant return to Channel 5, hosted by Brian Dowling.
A third series of The Only Way Is Essex begins filming late next month to air in September.
