The Only Way Is Essex star Kirk Norcross has revealed he dumped his TOWIE co-star Lauren Pope because he stopped fancying her and their sex lives "fizzled out." Speaking to Star magazine this week, Kirk admitted that the pair had rushed into the relationship by moving in with one another.
"I think I jumped in too fast," he said. "Maybe if we didn't move in, we'd still be together, but I felt like I went from 23 to 50 in a matter of weeks."
And Kirk also put blame on their joint nose job operations, carried out in June.
"I was staying in every night. I started losing the spark with Lauren when we had to stay indoors and heal after our nose jobs. We weren't allowed out and I think we got on top of each other too much," Kirk explains. "I should have loved her company. It sounds so cheesy, but I just stopped fancying her."
Kirk says that things went downhill from there, continuing: "With that you should always make time to do it, but when I knew it wasn't right I stopped it.
"I didn't want to lead her on. A steady sex life then a sudden split would've seemed cruel, so I made a decision to fizzle out the sex."
But despite letting her go, Kirk told the glossy weekly that he didn’t' want to see Lauren with any other members of the TOWIE cast just yet. "TOWIE's about our lives, so it could get a bit dark on the show, but I don't want to over-analyse anything. I know it's me that ended it, but if I see her with another guy it's gonna kill me," he added.
The Only Way Is Essex returns in September with a new series.
