Star of The Only Way Is Essex Amy Childs is reportedly planning to quit the hit ITV2 reality series after being offered her own £1 million show. According to News Of The World, Childs will be leaving the programme at the end of the year to work on the project with fellow Essex star and cousin Harry Derbidge.
A source told the tabloid today: "Amy is the biggest personality on the show and viewers adore her. But ITV pay all the contestants, including her, a pittance and she has so many fans - so the time is right for her to go it alone."
It's been widely reported that stars of the show are paid just £50 a day when filming for the series, however they are able to earn thousands of pounds thanks to lucrative personal appearances and modelling deals.
Amy's apparent new project will be produced by her manager Claire Powell and according the paper will see Amy marketed as a 'new Katie Price'. The source added: "The fact is Jordan's popularity has waned and there is a gap in the market for a younger and fresher version to come in and steal her thunder."
The Only Way Is Essex continues tonight on ITV2 at 10PM.
