Star of The Only Way Is Essex Lauren Goodger has insisted she and fiancé Mark Wright are definitely a real couple - saying she could never be in a fake romance. Speaking to The Sun's buzz magazine this weekend, the 24-year-old insisted: "Mark and I are the real deal."
The pair got engaged a few weeks ago on the show, however doubt has been cast over the authenticity of Mark's proposal.
Mark recently pleaded with both fans of the show and his fellow cast members to just let him and Lauren be happy with one another saying: "It’s not fake. Everyone wants to be negative about it – I can’t win. Why can’t people just let me and Lauren be?"
Lauren meanwhile tells buzz this weekend: “Personally I couldn’t be in a fake romance – even if it was with Brad Pitt – because I’m not that good at acting. Obviously there are some couples in TOWIE that feel less genuine than others, but it really shines through that Mark and I are the real deal.”
“I don’t know how genuine [the engagement] is from Mark’s point of view," Sam said two weeks ago. "Even if I get an invite I don’t want to go to the wedding.”
The Only Way Is Essex continues this Sunday on ITV2 at 10PM.
