Love it or hate it, it seems we've got a lot to thank The Only Way Is Essex for.
The ITV2-turned-ITVBe series has reportedly helped boost the UK economy by a whopping £1.4 BILLION.
The figure was revealed in new documentary The Power of TOWIE (via Digital Spy).
Host of the show and former TOWIE cast member Mark Wight explained how sales of false nails had increased by 500% following the first two series while sales of false eyelashes tripled.
TOWIE also encouraged people to spend money on clothes, fake tan and hair extensions.
Plus, thanks to the cast's regular trips to Marbs, the Spanish holiday destination has seen more Brits visiting than ever before.
The show's stars have also opened their own shops and employed others, increasing the overall boost to the economy even further.
The latest series of TOWIE concluded earlier this month but a new run is expected in time for summer.
