Caprice Bourret has revealed she struggled to breathe following a crash on The Jump 2017.

The model suffered an accident in training when she ended up hitting a safety air bag.

"I did something to my ribs on the airbag, but that's coming up a little bit now. You'll be hearing about that," Caprice told the Daily Express newspaper.

She revealed: "It takes about four to five weeks [to heal]. When I breathe in, it hurts so much."

However Caprice added: "But, it's going to be fine. It really isn't a big deal."

It was confirmed last week that Caprice had become the latest celebrity to leave The Jump 2017, for apparently unrelated reasons.

The model was absent from last Sunday night's show due to illness, originally getting a pass through to next weekend.

Host Davina McCall told viewers: "As you can see, Caprice is not her tonight because she’s not very well."

She added: "So please get well soon Caprice, we’re all thinking of you.”

However was revealed after the episode that Caprice had in fact left the show completely and will no longer be taking part in the competition, which has two weeks left to go.

A spokesperson told the Radio Times: "Caprice has actually withdrawn from the competition completely due to illness."

Caprice is the third person to quit the show this year, following model Vogue Williams and Olympian Sir Bradley Wiggins.

Sunday night saw Sir Bradley leave the show after suffering a fracture in his leg.

Explaining his injury, the champion cyclist said: "They told me it's a non-displaced fracture, which means I'm out the competition in layman's terms."

Vogue meanwhile was forced out before the first show, injuring her knee while training.

The Jump 2017 is back on Sunday night for the penultimate episode of the six part series.
