Beth Tweddle and Dean Cain are the early favourites to win The Jump 2016 this winter.
The Jump is back for another a third series on Channel 4 and as they start their training, the confirmed celebrity line up are already at loggerheads, in the betting at least.
Actor Dean Cain, best known for his role as Superman, and Olympic gymnast Beth Tweddle are the early 5/1 joint favourites to impress on the slopes.
Socialite Tamara Beckwith joins Made In Chelsea star Mark-Francis Vandelli next in the betting at 6/1. Westlife's Brian McFadden is taking on the Austrian Alps in a bid to strip last year’s winner Joey Essex of the Cowbell trophy and can be backed at 7/1 to do so.
Olympic swimmer Rebecca Adlington, who is no stranger to reality TV having appeared in the 2013 series of I’m A Celebrity, features further down the betting at 9/1 with Olympic runner Linford Christie ahead of her at 8/1.
TOWIE’s James ‘Arg’ Argent is a middle of the road 10/1 to win with EastEnder’s star Sid Owen the larger price of 12/1.
Outsiders include Holby City’s Tina Hobley and The Bill’s Louisa Lytton at 16/1 apiece and Girls Aloud’s Sarah Harding, who is bottom of the betting at 20/1.
Aoife Heffron from BoyleSports commented: “Dean Cain and Beth Tweddle are the early joint favourites to take on the Austrian Alps and win, however as it is early days we could see a power shift before The Jump starts as betting starts to pick up.”
She added: “Brian McFadden has seen small support ahead of the launch of The Jump, but has a lot of competition at present with Dean Cain, Beth Tweddle, Tamar Beckwith and Mark-Francis all featuring ahead of him in the betting.”
The Jump begins at the end of the month on Channel 4.
