The Jump 2015 winner Joey Essex has put his surprise victory down to God.

It was Joey who won The Jump 2015 last night, beating favourite Mike Tindall in the final jump.

Joey flew 17.5 metres compared to his rival's 17 metre distance, also beating former Commonwealth champion Louise Hazel and Paralympian Jon-Allan Butterworth.

Speaking after the final, Joey said: "Maybe I could enter the Olympics next year or something. I beat two athletes - buzzing!"

The TOWIE star reckons he can cope well with the pressure and could bring home a medal for Team GB.

He explained: "When I’m under pressure, I’m very confident. I don’t give up and I give my all. When I’m under pressure I can do anything.

“Every time I have done sport and someone has said to me, ‘Right Joey this is it,’ I’ve always taken it to that level and always somehow succeeded.”

Meanwhile, heptathlete Louise Hazel is seriously being considered for a spot on Team GB at the next Winter Games in 2018 after her impressive times on the bobsleigh and skeleton.

"I’m flattered to be considered. I thought my sporting days were over," she said. “The last girls to win gold in skeleton were former track-and-field athletes. It may be a sign!”
