Mark Watson has revealed what really went on after he left Celebrity Island with Bear Grylls 2017.
Comedian Mark Watson became the latest celeb to leave this week, making a total of four exits so far.
After struggling with insomnia and weight loss, and even fearing he was "dying", Mark made the decision to leave after three weeks.
"I feel really disappointed and sad but I also feel that it's right," he said in the latest episode.
The comic added: "I didn't want to ever leave before the end because I feel like I'm quitting and letting people down a bit."
Now Mark has spoken out about what went down, revealing: "The health and safety team were strongly encouraging me to leave, but they couldn’t really show that on camera, understandably."
He explained to the Daily Express newspaper: “They made me go through the motions of saying ‘I want to leave the island’ into the radio because that’s what you’re meant to do. But by that point, the decision had already been made
“It was kind of a done deal really. I didn’t mind because at that stage I was very, very keen to go home. So if the price of that was having to talk into the radio I wasn’t worried.”
He went on to tell the newspaper that it was "strange" watching the series back.
"Obviously with the way they’ve edited it, naturally some things don’t come in the same order as how you remember them or big things that just aren’t there at all," he said. "Obviously there are loads of those because there’s only a few hours of TV to cover for this massive experience. "
Mark was the fourth celeb to leave the show so far this year.
Olympian & TV presenter Sharron Davies and Actor & Rizzle Kicks singer Jordan Stephens both requested to leave the island after two weeks on last week's show.
After 14 days, Sharron had enough and described the experience to living in a war zone.
Also missing her family, Sharron told the other celebs she was sure of her decision and called in Bear's team to be evacuated.
The next day, after a failed fishing trip, Jordan also asked to leave before getting taken away off the island by Bear's team.
And week before saw Breaking Bad actor RJ Mitte become the first to depart.
Celebs left living on The Island after three weeks include Olympian & broadcaster Iwan Thomas and Actor Ryan Thomas.
They're joined by Former TOWIE star Lucy Mecklenburgh, Former Pussycat Doll Melody Thornton, Comedian & writer Shazia Mirza and TV doctor Sara Kayat.
Celebrity Island 2017 continues Tuesday nights on Channel 4 at 9:15PM.
