Celebrity Island with Bear Grylls starts this week but who's taking part and when does it all begin?
When does Celebrity Island with Bear Grylls start on TV?
The four part series begins on Channel 4 this Sunday night, September 18, at 9PM and will continue each weekend.
Who's are the Celebrity Island with Bear Grylls' contestants?
10 celebrities have signed up for the show with the group made up of familiar faces from the worlds of television, music, sport and comedy.
Channel 4’s Dr Dawn Harper
Former Labour Councillor and ‘selfie queen’ Karen Danczuk
Comedian Josie Long
TOWIE star Lydia Bright
Former Blue Peter presenter Zoe Salmon
How does it work?
Just as with the main series, Bear Grylls will abandon the 10 celebrities on an uninhabited island in the Pacific. Alone and marooned in just their clothes and with a handful of basic tools, they must survive entirely on their own wits.
Have they had any training?
Sort of. The group took part in a Survival School before leaving for the island as they were prepared for the challenge with lessons on dealing with dangerous animals like crocs and snakes, how to humanely dispatch animals and making fire.
Why are they doing it?
The Celebrity Island with Bear Grylls is a part of Channel 4's Stand Up For Cancer charity event. Find out more at StandUpToCancer.org.uk.
