Patrick Dauncey's nasty fall on The Island with Bear Grylls has left viewers on tenterhooks
On tonight's show we saw Paddy crash onto rocks after slipping from a cliff during a search for food.
Paddy fell onto his back and it looked to be a VERY nasty incident.
In a preview from next week's show, scenes saw boats and even a helicopter rush to Paddy's aid.
Well one thing we can clear up is that Paddy did very much survive the accident, tweeting after the show this evening: "Oh my gaaaad is he alive/dead holy FUDGE - tuck in next week for more class-a banter #theisland"
But is he okay after what looked like a terrible drop onto the jagged coastline?
Dr Daniel Quemby, who was leading the team on their expedition of The Island, has suggested Paddy was "beyond lucky" as he was wearing a rucksack which softened the blow.
"Had he not landed in that position, had he not been wearing the rucksack and landed squarely on his back, he would have been paralysed - I'm certain of it," Dr Dan declared. "Or had he landed on his head or on his side and bashed his head, he would have died.
"Someone was absolutely looking over him and had he not been wearing that rucksack, it would have been a different story, without question."
Speaking to DigitalSpy of his immediate react following the fall, Dr Dan added: "I honestly thought I'd be speaking to the coroners. I honestly thought at best he would be paralysed, or at worst he would be dead."
You can watch the full fallout from the accident in next week's episode.
The Island with Bear Grylls continues Monday nights on Channel 4 at 9PM.
