The Island with Bear Grylls continues tonight and on the men's island, the battle for survival turns into a real life or death struggle.
It's just five days into their island survival challenge and the men have yet to eat.
Having been battered by a series of torrential storms, a number of the Islanders are at breaking point.
The rivalry between builders Paul and Andy has turned into all-out war with both threatening to leave, along with the youngest member of the Island Joe.
With hunger pains creeping in the group must put their differences aside to try and find something to eat.
“I do feel like we’re staring down the barrel a little bit – we’re going to have to pull something out of the bag, or go very, very hungry it seems to me.” says Sam B.
However the the novice hunters fail to catch much and forced to take bigger and bigger risks in the pursuit of vital calories, things go horribly wrong.
Paramedic Barney and cameraman Ross are swept into the sea by huge waves while fishing, leaving them at the mercy of the fierce currents of the Pacific Ocean.
The pair end up facing a real life and death struggle to get themselves to safety, leaving all of the contestants in no doubt that the challenge of The Island is very much real.
