Cheryl confirms she’ll be back on The Greatest Dancer

Cheryl has confirmed she will be back as a judge for series two of The Greatest Dancer.

The first ever series of the new dance show concluded live earlier this year as the winner was crowned after eight weeks of competition.

A second series was confirmed shortly after although as yet there’s no official word on who will make up the judges.

However Cheryl has let slip she will be returning.

She told The Sun newspaper: “I don’t think I’m allowed to say but I’m going to anyway – I’m going back to the dance show.

“I’m going to get told off for that, but it doesn’t matter because it’s just a fact. I love, love, loved the dance show.”

Alongside Cheryl, the first series saw Strictly Come Dancing pro Oti Mabuse and Broadway star Matthew Morrison on the line up.

The series was hosted by Jordan Banjo and Alesha Dixon.

Jordan recently teased some potential big changes for the second run in 2020.

“I’ve already heard loads about what’s to come,” he shared, “We’ve learnt a lot and I’m sure the show is going to come back bigger and better than last time.”

The Greatest Dancer is made for the BBC by Syco and Thames TV, makers of The X Factor and Britain’s Got Talent.

Announcing news of the second series earlier this year, Nigel Hall, Global Head of Television for Syco Entertainment, said: “The Greatest Dancer is a joyous, uplifting and exciting show. We have loved making this first series.

“We are absolutely delighted the programme will return to screens on BBC One in 2020 – and are looking forward to continuing our working relationship with the BBC.”
