The winner of The Bachelor UK 2019 has been revealed – but are her and The Bachelor still together?

A brand new series of The Bachelor started in the UK in March on Channel 5, featuring 31-year-old personal training studio owner Alex Marks as this year’s Bachelor.

17 women started the show vying for his affections. In each episode, Alex gave roses to the ladies he wants to stick around – while those who don’t get one were immediately eliminated.

In the season finale, the winner of The Bachelor 2019 was revealed as Alicia Oates, a 25-year-old Events Co-ordinator from Essex.

She was in the final alongside 30-year-old singer and vocal coach Charlotte Tyler from Worthing and Charlotte Edwards, a 36-year-old Full-time Model from London.

The TV show did not reveal if the Alex and Alicia were currently still together since filming ended last year.

Now (May 2019) it’s been revealed that the couple have split.

“Alex and Alicia had amazing chemistry and despite viewers shock at them getting together, they really wanted things to work,” an insider told The Sun newspaper. “They’ve struggled to spend time together recently with Alex away working and Alicia has been enjoying life partying in Essex and Ibiza.

“They will definitely remain friends and don’t regret the experience at all.”

Before news of the split this month, the pair had previously spoken about wanting to get married.

“We want a wedding that lasts a whole weekend, with games and drinks on tap,” Alex told OK! Magazine in March. “Alicia told me that her wedding dress will have a long train that is attached by Velcro so she can rip it off for all the dancing.

“She’ll have a goblet of pink gin in one hand and the other one free to rave. Mark [Wright] will play a part in our wedding.”

And while he admitted the pair were “total opposites”, Alex insisted: “We had an undeniable chemistry and everything I learnt about her I loved. She just makes me smile.”
