This evening’s episode saw Souleyman Bah become the third candidate to be fired from the BBC One business show.

In this week’s episode, Lord Sugar summoned the candidates to the Cambridge Theatre in London’s West End.

At the home of Matilda The Musical, based on Roald Dahl’s classic children tale, Lord Sugar set the new task.

“I want you to design a toy for 6 to 8-year-olds and film an online video to promote your brand,” Lord Sugar explained. “You’ll then pitch your toy to retailers and the team with the most orders will win.”

Before setting the candidates on their way, Lord Sugar mixed up the teams ahead of picking project managers.

Ryan-Mark Parsons, Dean Ahmad, Lewis Ellis, Carina Lepore, Iasha Masood and Jemelin Artigas made up newly named Team Empower led by Pamela Laird.

Souleyman Bah, Thomas Skinner, Riyonn Farsad, Lottie Lion, Lubna Farhan, Marianne Rawlins and Scarlett Allen-Horton created Team Unison, led by Riyonn Farsad.

Team Unison created a Tommy the Talking Turtle while Team Empower created Sparkle Star, a flying unicorn with a slime twist.

They then pitched their products to both a big department store and a toy retailer.

Team Empower received total orders of 2,000.

Team Unison’s pitches resulted in no orders.

For their treat, Team Empower were sent to The Toy Shop bar for cocktails and a balloon modelling masterclass.

Project manager Riyonn brought back Lottie and Souleyman back to the boardroom where it was Lord Sugar who flexed his muscles, sending Souleyman home.

The Apprentice 2019 continues next Wednesday night at 9PM on BBC One.
