Geeky Apprentice winner Tom Pellereau is reportedly set to land his own science show, with insiders dubbed the 31-year-old inventor 'the new Brian Cox'. The nerdy business man, who won Lord Sugar's £250,000 on Sunday, is wanted by telly bosses for a new science and tech show.
The London-born business owner won over Lord Sugar with his batch of inventions which included the world's first curved nail file and a chair which helped with back pain.
"A lot of people have stopped me in the streets wanting me to help them with their inventions. This country is amazing at creating new things," Tom said.
"We have been behind so many of the best inventions and technologies. Hopefully I will inspire others, particularly children."
A source added to The Sun: "Executives have been really impressed with the way he came over on TV. He is probably one of the most personable Apprentice winners and something of an underdog, which always goes down well with the British public.
"The BBC would love to do more with him. There is definitely a gap in the market."
Meanwhile speaking about his win, Tom continued: "I am just feeling elated. No one has lost eight tasks and reached the final before. But this year is different. If it was just about a job, I wouldn't have had a hope, but Lord Sugar saw in me someone who can continuously bring ideas to the table."
