As always, the budding entrepreneurs will be put through their paces by business heavyweight Lord Sugar as the search for his next business partner begins.
Baroness Brady and Claude Littner resume duties as Lord Sugar’s trusted advisors and his ‘eyes and ears’ on the tasks, reporting back on the candidates’ every decision in the boardroom.

The Apprentice 2018 spoilers
This year, the award-winning series will be bigger and better than ever, as Lord Sugar ups the ante right from the start and warns the candidates to “expect the unexpected”. For his first challenge, Lord Sugar immediately sends the candidates abroad - with a strong word of warning ringing in their ears; “Remember, this is NOT a holiday”.
Under the scrutiny of Karren Brady and Claude Littner, the candidates fly to Valletta in Malta, for a day-long shopping spree. The challenge is to bag nine Maltese items for the lowest possible prices before reuniting at the airport at 7pm.
One team quickly hits the road, but they are clearly on the wrong track. On the other team, fiery personality clashes over negotiations quickly rock the boat. As both teams navigate their way to the finish, one takes a punt by returning with items missing, while disregarding the deadline leaves the others facing mutiny.
In a heated first boardroom, Lord Sugar doles out hefty fines and on the losing team and someone becomes the first to be fired.
The Apprentice 2018 airs Wednesday nights on BBC One.
