The Apprentice 2011 candidate Leon Doyle was arrested back in 2007 over the death of an 18-year-old in a hit-and-run accident, it has been claimed. According to The Mirror however the arrest as a case of mistaken identity after a Crimewatch reconstruction.
Fast food entrepreneur Leon was questioned by police over the 2007 hit-and-run on Adam O'Toole in Huddersfield, but later released without charge.
A friend of the 26-year-old's said: "He was absolutely terrified when police came to question him about this.
"Of course he knew that justice would prevail, but there is always that scary moment when you think, 'What if they don't believe me?'"
The real killer was eventually caught, convicted and jailed a year later.
