It was Sarah-Jayne Clark who left The Apprentice this week after Lord Sugar sent the candidates to Belgium to run city tours.

And following her exit, Sarah-Jayne has hit out rival contestant Elizabeth McKenna, accusing her of playing up to the cameras.

“She’s different off screen to on screen. You can definitely see there’s a character that she’s playing,” Sarah-Jayne said. “And you know what, if she wants to do [more TV] after – she’s getting a lot of airtime. So she’s doing it well.”

Speaking to the Radio Times about Elizabeth’s antics, Sarah-Jayne continued: “It was just too much. The thing is, Elizabeth’s just not my cup of tea really.

“She’s obviously great at what she does – she’s obviously doing something right, she’s got her own business. But personality wise, just not for me.”

Sarah-Jayne went on to insist she didn’t regret not speaking up after Lord Sugar fired her for being ‘too quiet’.

He told her last night: “Sarah-Jayne, I’ve been wondering what you do, and now I know what you do.

“It seems to me that you’ve moved yourself over to a convenient place and I think you’ve been in a convenient place for the last six weeks.”

Sarah-Jayne said: “I think if you shout louder you get more airtime, but then again that would be really fake because that’s not me. I’m happy with what I did and it is what it is.”

She added: “You enter the competition to win it and I was definitely in it to win it.

“But as the weeks went on I think I kind of understood that I wasn’t going to win it.”
