The Apprentice 2017 spoiler: Candidates provide the cringe in new task

There are a load more awkward moments in The Apprentice 2017 tonight.

This week the show kicks off at Wembley Football Stadium, where Lord Sugar instructs the candidates to set up and run a corporate box and sell merchandise to the masses at the Women’s FA Cup Final.

For those organising the corporate boxes, candidates meet their match when they come face to face with the clients and have to negotiate a price.

Teams must decide on food, drinks and entertainment for their guests.

But balancing VIP expectations while still making a profit proves difficult for on both sides.

At the big game, corporate guests in one box wet their whistles, whilst in the other; supplies run dry, and money saving manoeuvres from the candidates, result in second division entertainment.

Team Vitality opt to have Harrison sing for their corporate guests rather than hire an entertainer; whilst Bushra delivers a key-note speech to entertain Team Graphene’s corporate clients.

Harrison ponders the impending stardom: “I’ve sung in the shower to myself, and now I’m singing at Wembley stadium at an FA cup final!”

Elsewhere, Andrew puts his foot in it: “We have to remember, it’s the FA Cup Final but it’s not the men’s FA Cup Final!”

Andrew self-analyses: “I don’t have a filter. I speak and my mind catches up, but ultimately it’s who I am. If you don’t like it, lump it.”

Meanwhile, outside the ground there’s a chance to cash in with food products like candy floss and popcorn to be sold to the stadiums 90,000 capacity crowd.

The goal is to score big with profit, but in-team tackles and last minute pricing strategies, puts them on the back foot.

When the final whistle blows, it’s back to the boardroom where the final score is in.

It’s celebrations down one end, and the blame game down the other and Lord Sugar decides which player will be shown the red card – “You’re Fired!”
