The Apprentice 2011 beauty tasks ends up with messy results all round

The Apprentice 2011

In tonight’s fourth episode of The Apprentice 2011, Lord Sugar sends the remaining business hopefuls to sell and market a range of beauty services and products to the public at a shopping centre. With more than enough customers around on a busy shopping day, who will turn the most profit?

The task kicks off with a small reshuffle, with Jim moving over from Team Venture to Team Logic. Felicity takes charge of the new Logic team, which is now made up of Natasha, Ellie, Melody, Jim, Vincent and Tom. Meanwhile Zoe takes up the role of Project Manager for Team Venture, made up of Susan, Edna, Helen, Glenn and Leon.

Before letting them go on their way Lord Sugar warns the group: "Gavin went [last week] because he failed on the task and you will go if you fail."

Each team has both a range of beauty products to sell and a range of pampering treatments that can be purchased and - unfortunately for the members of the public - carried out by the candidates themselves.

However there's a twist, the teams must pitch for the treatments they want to sell - and it's all about the tanning! Venture manage to win the pitch, leaving Logic with the massages.

Onto selling an from the off the two teams have different strategies, with Team Logic focusing on shifting the products as opposed to pushing the services. Nick tells the camera: "They're just selling the products. Which makes the most money? The treatments. The margin is about 90%, it's fantastic."

The Apprentice 2011 airs tonight on BBC One at 9PM.
