It seems as though one of The Apprentice 2011 candidates has already had a go at getting investment for his business, appearing on the Dragon's Den. 26-year-old Leon Doyle pitched his 'Master Menu' idea to two dragons in the online series of the show - but failed to acquire any funding.
Describing himself as a "Fast Food Marketing Entrepreneur" on his Apprentice application form, Leon's big idea was to combine all of the local takeaway menus into one 'master menu'. Despite making some profit on his idea, Leon failed to convince the dragons that the business would work and left the den empty handed.
Now Leon looks set to start a bid to win The Apprentice 2011 in order to recieve a £250,000 cash injection from Lord Sugar into his menu business.
