The Apprentice 2016 candidates get DRUNK in new gin making task

Here's a first look at The Apprentice 2016 this week as two candidates get DRUNK.

It's week ten and just six candidates are left.

Ahead of the interview stages, the remaining business wannabes are summoned to the Old Royal Naval College in Greenwich.

Lord Sugar sets them their final task of the series, creating and producing the spirit of the moment – gin.

With the final in sight, the candidates are all desperate to impress and they battle for the last chance to be Project Manager after a switch of teams.

Courtney ends up taking charge of Alana and Jessica while Grainne heads up Trishna and Frances.

Each team then splits to their distilleries to dream up their spirit and matching cocktail, while the rest brainstorm names for their brand and design an eye-catching bottle.

While Frances brands her team's spirit, Grainne and Trishna get a little carried away with the taste testing, getting tipsy before the day has even begun.

It leaves them unable to finish the bottle as Frances is left talking to their voicemail in an effort to get the task done.

The next day the hangover seems to hit during the pitch, as any hint of personality dries up.

On the other team, Alana takes charge of making the gin and knows exactly what she wants.

But Courtney can't decide on a brand, split between his ideas of 'Giin' and 'gXn'.

Once both teams pitch, sales are totted up before the result is revealed.

Come the boardroom, the candidates are left shaken and stirred by a stern Lord Sugar, as he decides who has reached the last chance saloon, uttering the final words, “You’re Fired”.

The Apprentice 2016 airs Thursday night at 8PM on BBC One.
