It was week eight of The Apprentice 2016 tonight and the candidates were summoned to the National Portrait Gallery.
There, Lord Sugar instructed the two teams to each organise an exclusive late night event at two of London’s biggest tourist attractions – The SEA LIFE London Aquarium and Madame Tussauds.
They had a day to plan an event to remember from entertainment to food and drinks - plus sell enough tickets at high enough prices to turn a profit.
The Apprentice 2016 results
Project Manager: Dillon with Courtney, Alana, Grainne
Total raised: £2400.66
Project Manager: Paul with Trishna, Jessica, Frances, Sofiane
Total raised: £1127.64
After a seventh defeat for Team Nebula this series, Project Manager Paul decided to return to the boardroom with Jessica and Frances.
Things got very tense between the trio as they fought for their places, with tears from both of the girls while Paul was described as "aggressive" by Lord Sugar.
After having "heard enough" from the candidates, Lord Sugar concluded: "“The thing is, Frances, in the last task you went ten steps forward, and you have gone twelve steps back here as far as I am concerned.
"Jessica, obviously there is a certain amount of emotion flying around the boardroom, I am not that hard-nosed person to ignore that, but then again this is business, we are talking about business, ok.
"And Paul, I think that you made a very, very big error in the pricing strategy, and you can’t lose your rag every single time something goes wrong, and you did lose your rag on this task in representing me in front of customers."
Who left The Apprentice 2016?
Lord Sugar declared: "Jessica, I have to think about whether you are a potential winner of this process, I haven’t seen enough so far to tell me that, but I think I’ve seen enough in the case of you Paul to say that, you’re fired!”
And with that, Paul left the boardroom while Jessica and Frances went back to the house.
Paul will talk to Rhod Gilbert on You’re Fired! on BBC Two at 10pm, immediately following the main episode. Other guests include Claude Littner, entrepreneur and MOBO founder Kanya King and comedian and Apprentice fan Joe Lycett.
