There's a shocker in the boardroom on The Apprentice 2016 tonight as one candidate is suddenly fired by Lord Sugar.

The boss ditches one candidate as soon as the results of the latest task are revealed after terrible sales.

And it's fair to say, they really are dismal.

This week, Lord Sugar instructs the candidates to tap into one of the UK’s biggest markets – the boating and leisure industry. The task is simple: pick the right products and sell them at Poole Harbour Boat Show.

Each team is split in two with one half focusing on expensive products including £20,000 boats and jet skis, while the other must make the most of cheaper impulse buys that include everything from fish pillows to full face snorkels.

Both teams thoroughly enjoy testing out the high-end items themselves, including jet skis and speed boats.

But it's not just those out on the water who have to contend with getting soaked as the candidates do battle with the elements as heavy rain showers and thunder disrupt the Boat Show.

After a full day of selling at Poole's Boat Show it's back to the boardroom for the teams.

When the sales are totted up, Lord Sugar is hot on the figures as one team is shown to have floundered bringing in less than £200 between the six of them.

A shock firing there and then by the boss sees one candidate thrown overboard before the lacklustre selling of the rest of the team is put under the spotlight as Lord Sugar considers if any more should be sent home.

Tune in to find out who will hear Lord Sugar’s immortal words ‘You’re Fired’ tonight, Thursday 16th November, 9PM on BBC One and BBC One HD

And you can join brand new You're Fired host Rhod Gilbert straight after at 10PM on BBC Two, alongside guests Karren Brady, money-saving expert Martin Lewis and comedian and apprentice fan Russell Kane, as well as the latest candidate to leave the boardroom.
