Karthik Nagesan tries some unusual sales tactics on The Apprentice 2016 this week.
Although his ideas don't seem to win approval of his team.
It's week 7 of The Apprentice 2016 and for the latest task, Lord Sugar instructs the candidates to tap into one of the UK’s biggest markets – the boating and leisure industry. The task is simple, pick the right products and sell them at Poole Harbour Boat Show.
Faced with fascinating choices from snorkels to fish cushions the teams pick items for their stall.
The teams each split in half, one selling cheaper accessories while the other try and secure big money deals on boats and jetskis.
However with poor - well, typically British - weather, teams manning the stalls struggle to warm up the customers and few choose to part with their cash.
Keen to shift stock of his 'changing hood', Karthik suggests stripping in the street to "add a bit of wow factor" to his team's stall.
"There is a question of taste as well," he adds.
Alana Spencer confides in Samuel: "Does that style actually put people off? Do you think we should tell him?"
At the end of the day, it's back to the boardroom for both teams where sales are totted up.
And when one team member is thrown overboard in a shock firing, the lacklustre selling of the rest of the team is put under the spotlight.
As the candidates try and navigate their way through the boardroom storm, will they ultimately be able to avoid hearing the infamous ‘You’re Fired’?
The Apprentice 2016 airs Thursday night at 9PM on BBC One.
