The Apprentice's Rebecca Jeffrey has exited the show declaring she was fired for not being a "twat".

She said: "I feel sad to have left because I think there were other people in the process who have done less than I have - but they just so happened to be on the winning side.

"At the end, I think I left because I'm not a twat basically. I guess that's my downfall. I haven't been enough of a twat."

Rebecca's brutally honest post-firing chat had fans cheering her on, even if she make a massive mistake in the latest task.

Rebecca was fired after six appearances in the boardroom and completely cocking up this week's negotiation challenge.

She was tasked with finding Black African Soap and a Tagine but instead found powdered soup and tahini.

Her face said it all.

Speaking to DigitalSpy after the show, Rebecca admitted: "I'd lost every single task so far and at that moment in time I didn't feel like I'd had any particularly amazing moments where I'd shone.

"I'd been in the Boardroom a couple of times before and you're aware that you only have a limited of amount of lives in front of Lord Sugar."

She conceded: "I think in truth, when he then had to look back on those six weeks and make a decision about who should have been fired, I think I was probably the right person."

On essentially branding the other contestants "twats" after her exit, Rebecca explained: "In life I'm quite friendly and I'm quite chatty, I'm not really someone who bitches or stabs people in the back, and so I found it quite hard because I was going, 'I don't want to have to turn on someone that's my friend, that doesn't feel very nice'.

"So I made this decision to kind of in my head not be a twat and then obviously in that taxi when I was asked the last few questions of the whole thing, I kind of just made this off the cuff remark about how I maybe wasn't enough of a twat!"

She concluded: "I'm really pleased I wasn't a twat. I'm absolutely delighted I got to week six and had not been a twat."

The Apprentice 2016 airs Thursday nights at 9PM on BBC One.
