The Apprentice 2016 start date isn't quite here yet but the BBC has teased some of this year's candidates.

And while we know we shouldn't judge a book by it's cover blah bah blah, how about judging an Apprentice candidate by their outrageous quote?

Ahead of the series' launch date, The Apprentice have been teasing some of this year's business wannabes with talk of unicorns and, err, ebola.

The titbits about this year's Apprentice candidates follows an announcement about The Apprentice launch date.

The show is now confirmed to be back on BBC One from THURSDAY, 9PM October 6.

The BBC One reality series used to air in the spring on Wednesday nights but the past couple of years its return to TV been pushed back to the autumn.

That's the case again this year with the recent Rio 2016 Olympics together with the Euro 2016 championships ruling out any summer airing for the show.

Filming for this year's show took place earlier in the year as Lord Sugar, Claude Littner and Karren Brady all returned to the boardroom.

But it's change on BBC Two spin-off show You're Hired (again) as comedian Rhod Gilbert takes over from Jack Dee who lasted only a year in charge after replacing long-time host Dara O Briain last year.

It was Joseph Valente who The Apprentice last year in 2015, securing a £250,000 investment from Lord Sugar into his gas and plumbing engineering company.
