The Apprentice runner up Vana Koutsomitis and her DatePlay app are said to be worth £2 MILLION already.

Vana missed out on Lord Sugar’s £250,000 investment during last year’s final as the boss instead decided to back Joseph Valente’s plumbing and heating business.

But Vana’s dating app, which matches singles based on playing games, is going strong.

With Lord Sugar out, she’s turned to the internet and so far received more than £150,000 worth of investment via online crowdfunding website Seedrs.

According to the website, DatePlay has been valued at over £2 million even before it’s planned launch at the end of the year, set to coincide with the return of The Apprentice to TV.

Speaking recently to BusinessInsider, Vana said of the app: "The difference between DatePlay and the others is that we add an element of fun to the dating experience by integrating games into the interface.

"Tinder can engage you for short periods of time but once you have enough matches and once you’ve swiped left and right enough times, you start to get a little bit crazy. You’re just like, over it."

20,000 people have pre-registered for the app, which will be free to download although offer a premium subscription for £4.99 a month.
