The Apprentice 2015 winner Joseph Valente is 'living his dream' as he sets to work with Lord Sugar.
Underdog Joseph won last year's show after Lord Sugar chose him to invest £250,000 in a new business.
Impra-Gas is Joseph's plumbing and heating company that is now jointly owned by himself and The Apprentice boss.
"I have always been a big fan of The Apprentice and felt one day that I would work with Lord Sugar. That is why I went on it to try and win," Joseph said this week.
In an interview with Business Insider, Joseph revealed that working with Lord Sugar he's learned "not to run before you can walk."
"That is probably the most important one. It is to take your time to persevere and make sure your plan is ready before you execute it," Joseph explained.
He added: “There is a lot of opportunity that comes around and sometimes it presents itself as exciting, but once you start to delve down into it, all it does is distract you from your main objectives and goals.”
Right now Impra-Gas remains operating locally around the Peterborough area although Joseph has plans to make it a national brand by expanding county by county.
Thanks to Lord Sugar's cash, he's also hoping to enter smart home technology market.
“We are currently in talks with Nest at the moment. We are looking to develop those services in the next 12 months," Joseph said.
The Apprentice will be back later this year for a new series on BBC One.
