The Apprentice 2013 winner Leah Totton changes business name to 'Dr Leah'

Leah Totton (The Apprentice 2013)

The Apprentice 2013 winner Leah Totton has changed the name of her bussines.

Last night we saw Leah triumph over Luisa Zissman in the The Apprentice 2013 results, but Lord Sugar wasn't keen on her brandname.

Leah had pushed on with the name 'NIKS' for her chain of medical clinics, but Lord Sugar - and Leah's team mates - expressed concern.

Speaking after the final, Leah revealed that she had now changed the name to simply 'Dr Leah.

"Well at the end of the day Lord Sugar has got many years of branding experience so I'm happy to take his advice," she explained. "We had a discussion after and he advised me to change it.

"Watching the show back I don't think my idea was great actually so to change the name was a natural decision I think it's better because of the skin care range I'm doing too."

Despite winning the £250,000 investment from Lord Sugar, the 24-year-old said she was still continuing to work as a NHS doctor for the time being.

She told the Daily Mirror: "I'm continuing my NHS work for the next few weeks and also a masters degree and I'm continuing with the medical research I'm involved in - alongside the business. Lord sugar has agreed to let me continue with that.

"We're looking [to launch] in autumn but since I've only just found out we haven't made a proper plan yet."
