Leah Totton's business plan comes under attack on The Apprentice 2013 final tonight.
Making up Leah’s team for the final task are Francesca MacDuff-Varley, Alex Mills, Myles Mordaunt and Uzma Yakoob, with the doctor outlining the concept of her business plan to her them: “It’s a medical cosmetic clinic, and I want to start a chain across the UK. We’ll be offering anti-ageing treatments, anti-wrinkle injections, facial fillers, and it will be a professional, ethical service and that’s what I am really, really keen to get across.”
Leah is determined to achieve her vision for the brand, and works with Alex and Myles to create the perfect logo for her company.
Impressed by her focus and decisiveness, Karren Brady states; “From the crack of dawn this morning, Leah had very firm ideas from branding and website and logo. She’s been very calm, very decisive, very clear about what she wants to achieve for the brand. She’s gone very corporate, very safe, it’s medical. The only problem is, it’s a bit bland.”
The next day Leah heads to a clinic to film a promotional video for her business pitch. Leah’s team pick up on her appearing to be stressed, with Alex saying to colleague Uzma: “She just needs to calm down.”
On the third and final day of the task, the teams head off at 11am to make the final preparations before pitching their business launch campaigns to 100 industry experts and Lord Sugar himself.
Following Leah’s presentation, she rigorously defends her business idea when asked by one audience member why she has only focused on three offerings of treatments and told “I don’t know if you understand the market quite as well as you think you do.”
The Apprentice 2013 final airs tonight at 8PM on BBC One.
