Axed Apprentice 2013 candidate Myles Mordaunt has suggest he was fired by Lord Sugar for being too old.
Myles got the axe in last night's Apprentice 2013 results, just before the penultimate round.
He had led the boys on a task to turn £150 into as much money as possible, but was slaughtered by the girls in the boardroom.
Lord Sugar told him: "Myles, I’m not sure what your expertise is, and this is simply from a gut feeling, I’m not sure on you either, and for that reason, I have to say that Myles, you’re fired.”
Speaking after his exit, Myles admitted he felt that his age could have worked against him when it came down to going into business with Lord Sugar.
"Maybe Lord Sugar looks at me and I'm a bit old in the sense of more set in my ways and likely to be a little bit less flexible," he said.
In firing Myles, Lord Sugar also criticised his business plan, remarking: " Marketing, expensive brands and all this type of stuff – we are in a recession, in a world recession, and I’m not sure whether that’s the kind of business that I want to be in."
Speaking to the Daily Mirror, Myles added:: "My business plan was not the right one for him - it's not something that fascinates him or interests him or that he's on top of.
"That tells you everything you need to know. For me that was a bit of a body blow that he's not into this."
