Fired Apprentice 2013 candidate Uzma Yakoob has confessed her confidence has been hit hard by cruel taunts from Twitter users.
Uzma became the latest business hopeful to get the axe in last night's Apprentice 2013 results, after a task to run farm shops.
Despite standing up against Lord Sugar, Uzma confessed she's had a tough time doing the same to faceless users on social networks.
“I am human so I do look at the comments. It’s not nice when people criticise your looks," she said today. “But you get a lot of unkind comments when you put yourself in the public eye and you have to learn to ignore it.”
Uzma added: “I’m in the make-up industry and change my look all the time. People can be mean and unkind, but I don’t need to stoop to their level by responding.”
Meanwhile, Uzma claimed that she was happy to have been fired.
Speaking to The Sun newspaper today, the 32-year-old explained: “I may have been fired, but being fired by Lord Sugar is actually quite an achievement.
“It does feel like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders now it is over — not because I couldn’t do the challenge but because I haven’t argued so much before.
“There were times when I had to raise my voice in a meeting to get my point across and I have never experienced that in my life — it’s so unprofessional.”
The Apprentice continues next TUESDAY on BBC One.
