The PR guru as been working alongside Lord Sugar on the BBC reality series for the past nine years but admitted he'd have never got close to winning if he were to take part as a candidate.
Speaking at last week's launch of the new series, Nick said: "It does require a surfeit of bravado in order to get involved in the first place.
"At their age I'd have run for the hills - I'd have been no good at all."
However Nick's fellow aide on the show, Karen Brady, was more confident, saying: "I've already won it, I led the girls during the charity show," referring to the Apprentice's 2007 Comic Relief special."
Meanwhile, Nick revealed he expected the series to keep on going for a tenth series and even longer.
"The guys who came up with the format have got to be congratulated. There's certainly a little bit of magic in there," he said.
Karren agreed, adding: "I think this series is a really powerful mix of great tasks and candidates who all really want to win.
"This is the last chance saloon for some of these people and for others it's the first time they've entered into this environment. And the tasks are phenomenal."
