When does The Apprentice 2013 start? Lord Sugar has confirmed the show's return...

It seems like ages since the show was last on, having launched in March last year.

Series 9 will start on May 7 on BBC One, Lord Sugar confirmed today, with the second episode airing the next day on Wednesday, May 8.

The Apprentice 2013 will then continue to air every Wednesday throughout the summer.

Lord Sugar tweeted this morning: "BREAKING: Apprentice New Series 1st Episode Tue 7th May BBC1 9pm. Followed by 2nd Episode Wed 8th, and then Wed 9pm BBC1 every week after".

Nick Hewer and Karren Brady will both be back to aide Lord Sugar, while BBC Two spin-off You’re Fired is also back.

Filming for the series started in October, with the candidates having already completed most of the tasks.

Last week saw the BBC tease this year's line up of wannabes, but rather than some glam pictures, this time the channel released a new teaser clip full of soundbites from the upcoming shows.
