The Apprentice 2013 boss Lord Sugar has admitted he’s made mistakes when firing and hiring candidates in the past.
Speaking to the Radio Times in the run up to the new series later this month, Lord Sugar was asked whether he ever regretted any of his decisions in the boardroom.
“Yes, I think so. Yeah, I think sometimes you fire the wrong person,” he admitted.
While Sugar didn’t mention any names, he explained: “I don’t think I’ve made too many mistakes in picking the winner.
“The mistake or firing the wrong person is usually in the early episodes of the show. Something like episode five, six or seven.
“But not when we get down to the end because at that point you tend to know who your characters are.”
It follows recent reports of former Apprentice winner Yasmina Siadatan quitting her job with Lord Sugar and a law suit brought by 2010 winner Stella English, although one which she lost in court.
The Apprentice 2013 starts on BBC One next week on May 7.
