Young Apprentice 2012 winner Ashleigh Porter-Exley has hit back at her critics.
The teenager won the Young Apprentice 2012 final results this evening, beating Lucy Beauvallet in the final boardroom.
Ashleigh claimed that her and her fellow candidates "can't win" with some viewers.
"At my age, my mum already had a child. You can't win as a kid. We're either anti-social thugs on street corners drinking, or you're up yourself because you have determination and ambition to go on a show like this," Ashleigh said.
Speaking to DigitalSpy, Young Apprentice runner up Lucy added: "We get criticised if we do and criticised if we don't."
Meanwhile, reflecting on her win, Ashleigh said: “It’s just absolutely amazing to know that I’m the winner and that Lord Sugar is willing to invest in me. It’s the best experience I’ve ever had. You can have as much work experience as you like but the skills I’ve learnt while being here is just unbelievable. I can’t wait to get home and tell my family and friends. I’m so excited to see my parents and my little brothers, they’ll all be so proud.”
Ashleigh is planning on using Lord Sugar’s investment to either set up her own business in property management or to create her own accountancy firm.
