Young Apprentice 2012: Steven Cole tips Ashleigh, Lucy to win

Lucy Beauvallet - Young Apprentice 2012

Fired Young Apprentice candidate Steven Cole reckons the girls will win this year's show.

Just four candidates remain in the Young Apprentice 2012 final, to be aired next Thursday on BBC One.

Steven was axed in a double firing last night, and now thinks either Lucy or Ashleigh will win in the final boardroom.

He said: "I think it’s between Lucy and Ashleigh as they are both very articulate and creative.

"Ashleigh reminds me of a mother figure and Lucy was just very confident. I also thought Max was very strong and deserved to stay longer. How Patrick didn’t go in the first week I still don’t know!"

Meanwhile, speaking about his experience on the show, Steven said: "I thought it was a great experience, although pressurised! You are on camera pretty much 24/7 and you also live with the competition! It was very enjoyable though and I loved every minute of it."

He continued: "On the task we were disappointed with losing the portaloo, but we all agreed we could overcome it. I was always worried about the portable washing machine. I feel our team would have made for a great final and it’s a shame we lost by such a small amount."

Steven went on: "Every task was very enjoyable, even if you did lose. The whole experience was an amazing highlight, it really was a once in a lifetime experience. Also meeting Lord Sugar, Nick and Karren was very surreal, all three are lovely people!"

And speaking about his current plans, the teenager added: "At the moment I’m interested in getting involved with Talent Management, although I do want to start my own catering business. From the small amount of ‘fame’ I have received, the showbiz lifestyle would be very nice! I am also starting a London based Internship company called Career Start."
