Young Apprentice 2012: Navdeep Bual backs Steven and Lucy to win

Navdeep Bual - Young Apprentice 2012

Fired Young Apprentice candidate Navdeep Bual has backed Steven or Lucy to win the show in two weeks' time.

Nav became the latest victim of the boardroom yesterday after the candidates were tasked with shooting adverts for a new brand of hair product.

Despite getting the axe, Nav insisted today: "I loved every moment of it!

"The entire experience was surreal and especially after having watched the previous shows, actually participating was amazing!

"Despite what it may seem like, working with the other candidates was so fun and we are all still in contact now! In all honesty, it was very different and far more difficult than I expected however the challenges it brought really tested me and that in itself made it an amazing process.

Quizzed on who she felt was think is the strongest candidate remaining, Nav said: "Having got to week 6 and working with all of the remaining candidates, I knew that Steven and Lucy were my favourites to win: mainly because they were both calm and articulate, the kind of people I loved working with!

"However Maria’s passion was also something I knew would help her get far and I think all the remaining candidates had individual strengths, hence why they were got into the semi finals."

Nav continued: "It may seem strange to say but the very people I was up against were the same people who made me enjoy my time on the show for so long… late night chats with the girls and playing Just Dance with everyone on our days off were a few of the memories I shall take away with me!

"Being PM in week 5 and having such an outstanding win (even if I do say so myself!) was brilliant and making my own perfume (and watching Steven react hilariously to different smells) was also epic!"

The Young Apprentice 2012 continues on Thursdays on BBC One at 8PM.
