Last night, the girls won the latest head to head challenge, securing them safety from the public vote.

The boys went up for the viewer poll and tonight the girls had to decide which one of them got the boot, and it was Joel Bennett who got the boot.

Host Laura Whitmore entered The Lodge and announced the Boys with the most public votes, and the Girls had to make an agonising decision about which of the Boys who are vulnerable they Replaced.

They chose to evict Joel Bennett, who became the second boy to leave the lodge.

Speaking tonight after his exit, Joel said: “My experience in The Lodge has been the best thing I’ve ever done. I met some great people in there, made some new friends for life and had an absolute blast.”

He added: “Coming in as the first new lad was a challenge. With the Girls, they’d had so many Replacements by the time I arrived that they were adaptable to change and working as a team quickly with new Girls. With the Boys, they’d all been there since day one.”

Meanwhile, Joel said he was going to wait for Georgia Cole on the outside.

He explained: “My feelings are romantic for Georgia. She is my type, I fancy her and the biggest stumbling block for me was David. Once David gave me the green light to get to know her, from that point on I pursued her because I wanted to get closer to her.

“I can understand why people think it’s convenient because it was the same day we lost the Team Challenge but for me, feelings are genuine. A new Boy might go in, she might fall for someone else but if she doesn’t I’d like to see her on the outside. When she comes out, I’d like to date her.

“I will wait for Georgia. I really like her. I have strong feelings for her.

“From a selfish point of view, I’d love it if she was the next one to be voted out so we can pick up where we left off.”

Survival Of The Fittest continues nightly on ITV2 at 9PM.
