ITV1 chiefs apparently want Dawn French for more telly roles after her successful stint as a judge on Andrew Lloyd Webber's Superstar.
The Sun reports that bosses were blown away by her 'near faultless' performance on the talent contest, which was won by Ben Forster on Wednesday.
A source told the newspaper: "Dawn played a very important part in the show. Her wit and warmth were very much valued.
"She is also incredibly down-to-earth and a real joy to work with on set. We would love to work with her again on other shows."
They added: "Despite being new to this, she played an absolute blinder. Watch out David Walliams!"
The comedienne is best known for appearing in sitcom The Vicar Of Dibley and sketch show French and Saunders on BBC One.
