The Superstar finalists have been given a booze ban by Lord Andrew Lloyd-Webber after reportedly going out of control at their shard house.

Just five acts remain in the competition ahead of tonight's latest live show, and bosses have been put off by their behaviour off screen.

One source told The Sun: “For a show about finding the new Jesus Christ Superstar, some of the behaviour has been distinctly un-godly.”

Boss Lloyd-Webber was quick to lay down rules for the remaining contestants, with the final just days away.

“Alcohol has been banned for the rest of the series in a bid to get the boys to knuckle down," the insider explained. “They love their beer and with them all living together they were getting into big drinking sessions.

“Some of them have been whingeing that they are being worked too hard on the nightly series and were hitting the bottle to relax, but this is not on.

“If they win, they will be working all hours on the arena show so they have to get used to it.”

Superstar continues live on ITV1 tonight, with the final on Wednesday.
