Amanda Holden is reportedly set to become the host of new ITV1 series Jesus Christ Superstar, which will follow Lord Andrew Lloyd-Webber’s search for a performer to play Jesus in an arena revival of his famous musical.
The series, which will air on ITV1 in the summer, will be judged by Mel C and Jason Donovan, along with Lord Andrew himself.
According to the Sunday Mirror, Britain's Got Talent judge Amanda is being lined up to front the series.
A source told the tabloid: "Amanda is the perfect lady for the Jesus Christ Superstar role as she has first-hand experience of what it is like to be on the West End stage from Shrek and Thoroughly Modern Millie.
"She has taken the job in principle and now contracts need to be worked out.”
Auditions for the new reality show took place earlier this year, with call-backs currently underway to decide which hopefuls to put through to the live shows.
