Speaking at the launch of Britain's Got Talent last week, Alesha explained how the BGT format allowed her to be herself more and show off her personality.
"I don't miss Strictly, I had an incredible with Strictly, it's a different vibe on this show," Alesha said.
She went on: "I have to say in all honesty on this show, I feel like I've come as myself. I feel like more of myself. This show is a lot of fun, I have laughs."
And the singer insisted that her defection to ITV1 was not about money, although she is being paid more than 3 times her £100,000 Strictly fee.
The 'Boy Does Nothing' hitmkaer insisted: "It's about doing different things, different challenges. It's not [about money]. It really isn't. I honestly don't make decisions based on money. That is the truth.
"I just think for me it was time for a change, and it's been a great change, the chemistry's been brilliant. I have no regrets."
New boss Simon Cowell added: "She's been amazing, I've got to tell you."
Britain's Got Talent continues on Saturday on ITV1.
