Strictly Come Dancing head judge Len Goodman has revealed he hopes to see Arlene Phillips back on the show's judging panel this year.
Speaking after Alesha Dixon's exit last month, Len told Star magazine he hoped to see former Strictly judge Arlene make a comeback in the autumn.
"Of course I would," he told the magazine. "But it's not in my hands at all. We're not even really asked who we'd like, which is quite really.
"I'm just a judge on the show, not one of the producers."
Len also explained that he probably wouldn't end up missing Alesha, saying that the pair never bonded outside the TV studio.
"It was great to have her on the show. I didn't get as close to Alesha as I have with Bruno, Craig and Arlene. We'd see each other on Saturday and then she'd be off," Len said.
He continued: "I've been to Bruno's home and Arlene's and Craig's and we've met up, we've all had dinner. But that never happened with Alesha, which I understand.
"She's a lot younger sand she's got lots to do, so I never really got involved with her. As nice as it was to see her, things move on."
Professional ballroom dancer Len added that he hasn’t even spoken to Alesha since the end of last year's Strictly Come Dancing!
